New York-based Japanese artist Misaki Kawai strives to make work true to the innocent, honest integrity of adolescent playfulness, but on a more grand and sophisticated level.

Give’r: (Verb) Canadian, particular to rural areas, especially in the Western provinces, meaning 1.) to work very hard. 2.) to get wasted and rock as hard as possible. 3.) To finish a job or task in an efficient and quick manner.

The talk will feature acclaimed artists Shary Boyle and Leesa Streifler, as well as the exhibition curator Amanda Cachia. The opening reception for the exhibition is on Friday, June 5 at 8 pm.
